About me

Janice has worked for over 35years in the employment industry, specifically in the field of disabilities since 1997. With a background in Adult Education and vocational training for people with disabilities Janice completed a PhD in the field of Disability Studies in 2010. She has a keen interest in inclusive research methodologies and accessible research methods. Janice is an adjunct Senior Lecturer at UNSW and sessional academic at Charles Sturt University and currently works as Research Coordinator with Break Thru People Solutions, a disability service provider with offices along the Australian eastern seaboard.
Janice’s strong commitment to the rights of all people to participation, inclusion and equity is underpinned by an evangelical faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This motivates her to explore new and creative ways to facilitate inclusive disability research. Her research is driven by the desire to be light and salt in a fallen world, to act justly and to love mercy, to walk humbly with her God and to honour Jesus.
